AIGC Fellowship

The AIGC Fellowship is CLOSED for the Academic Year 2018-2019!
Check back in January 2019 for the AY 2019-2020 application.

Graduate level fellowships to enrolled members of a federally recognized American Indian tribe or Alaska Native group OR provide documentation of ancestry to possession of one-fourth degree Indian blood of a federally recognized tribe who are pursuing a graduate or professional level education. To be considered, applicants must be pursuing a master, doctorate or professional degree as a full-time student at an accredited graduate or professional school in the United States and be able to demonstrate financial need.

Note: All applicants are required to submit a Tribal Eligibility Certificate (TEC) and Financial Needs Form (FNF)which can be downloaded from the AIGC website. Full Online Application instructions should be reviewed throughout the application process.

Please note that all notifications of application status are posted here in the AIGC Online Application System. Only those applicants approved for funding (after July 15) will receive an email from FELLOWSHIPS@AIGCS.ORG with information regarding further instructions and additional required verifying documents.

AIGC Fellowship: The Vision of AIGC is “empowering the next generation of Native leaders across all sectors.” Please write a 500-word (or less) statement that best describes how receiving an AIGC Fellowship will help you to contribute to this vision. Upon completion of your degree, how will you impact your community? Describe how your career goals will impact your chosen industry. This statement may be utilized to match you with additional funding resources (based on availability of funds).
  2. Please upload an unofficial transcript that indicates your GPA on an unweighted 4.0 scale. As a reminder, AIGC does not accept National Clearinghouse documents/information.
