Wells Fargo Scholarships for Undergraduate

The Wells Fargo Scholarships for Undergraduate is now ACCEPTING applications for the Academic Year 2019 – 2020!

The Wells Fargo Scholarships for Undergraduate provides funding to enrolled members of a federally recognized American Indian tribe or Alaska Native group or a state recognized tribe in the U.S. OR provide documentation of ancestry to possession of one-fourth degree Indian blood of a state or federally recognized tribe. Wells Fargo is looking for full-time and degree-seeking college freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors who hold a current GPA of 2.7 or higher with up to $5,000 for one year of study in any chosen major at any accredited institution in the United States.

Recipients must be able to prove individual membership or descendency from a U.S. federally-recognized or U.S. state-recognized American Indian tribe or Alaska Native group through submission of the AIGC Tribal Eligibility Certificate (TEC) . While Federal Pell Grant eligibility is not a requirement, students must prove financial need through submission of a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and the AIGC Financial Needs Form (FNF). The scholarship may be renewable depending on academic growth and availability of funds.

    • Academic – Talk about your academic strengths. Discuss a subject in which you had difficulty. What factors do you believe contributed to your difficulties? How have you dealt with it so it will not cause problems for you again?
    • Community Service - Can you describe a community service activity in which you played a part. What was the most memorable part of that activity?
    • How do you define a “leader.” ? What makes a strong leader? Name 2 or 3 qualities that you possess that make you an effective leader.
    • How do you think your education will prepare you to achieve your future goals.
